This Privacy Policy describes how Spekr ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application Spekr (the "App").

By using Spekr, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Spekr is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information to provide our service:

• Text you enter — Text you type into the app is sent to our secure API server to generate translations. We do not store this text on our servers after processing.
• Usage data — We store your daily translation count, streak data, and Pro subscription status locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.
• Purchase information — If you subscribe to Spekr Pro, Apple processes your payment. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never see your payment details.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Your location or device identifiers
• Your contacts or any other personal data
• Analytics or tracking data
• Any data from your camera, microphone, or photos beyond what you explicitly share

3. How We Use Your Information

The text you enter is processed solely to generate vibe translations using the Anthropic Claude API. Your text is transmitted securely to our Vercel-hosted API proxy, which forwards it to Anthropic's servers for processing. The response is returned to your device and displayed in the app.

We do not use your text for training AI models, advertising, or any other purpose.

4. Third Party Services

Spekr uses the following third party services:

• Anthropic Claude API — processes your text to generate translations. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — hosts our API proxy server. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store — processes payments for Spekr Pro. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• TikTok — if you choose to share content to TikTok, subject to TikTok's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage

All app data including your streak, translation history, custom vibes, and Pro status is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data. If you delete the app, this data is permanently deleted.

6. Children's Privacy

Spekr is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Spekr after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
